Serverless

Serverless is a cloud computing model in which developers only write and upload code, while the cloud provider automatically handles server operation, scaling, and maintenance.

How it works

In this model, developers don't need to worry about infrastructure such as underlying servers or operating systems. Code runs only when triggered (e.g., by an HTTP request), and you pay for the compute resources actually used. Its core value is letting developers focus on business logic while greatly simplifying deployment and operations.

Examples

  • 1.Build an API that automatically processes user-uploaded images and generates thumbnails
  • 2.Create a background data-processing task triggered by specific events (such as a database update)
  • 3.Develop a simple web page or API backend that runs only when a user visits
